Belated US release of B-sides compilation spanning The Fall's time signed to Beggars Banquet. Original UK release is BEGACD. page booklet includes individual track credits, photos, and brief tracklistings for each single plus the "Video" compilation/5.

Title is given as '45rpm B-SIDES ' on the front cover but ' B-SIDES' on the spine, back cover and discs. Sleeve lists as "Hit The North Part 2" but album actually plays Part 3.

Jun 22,  · To think these are B-Sides is amazing. As usual there's no let-up in MES' quality control and even if there is it's so slight as to be practically invisible. And 2 CDs for the price of 1 - this is a bargain that no self-respecting Fall fan should do without/5(4).

The title cleverly encapsulates the contents - the Fall's B-sides (45s) from to The Fall were a first-rate singles band, and the flip sides were often their equals. There is the odd dud here -- there are a thousand Fall songs to hear and "Clear Off" and "Mark'll Sink Us" .

In the case of "Mark'll Sink Us", it was tucked away on the B-side of the 12" version of "There's A Ghost In My House" single. In some ways, the song is unique within the group's back catalogue. I'm particularly thinking about the melancholy atmosphere of the piece as a whole and particularly the resigned air to MES's vocal performance.
